The Otters club is the next stage in the Sirens & Sparkles journey.

Members continue building confidence while developing independence, teamwork and practical first aid skills in a supportive and structured environment.

Otters (Ages 11-17)

Young people usually complete the full Otters journey over several years, at a pace that works for them.

All Sirens & Sparkles clubs are inclusive, supportive environments where children can learn at their own pace. Learn more about how we support children.

What Do Otters Do?

Otters support young people aged 11–17 as they grow in confidence, independence and life skills.

Sessions are more structured and encourage young people to take part, share ideas and develop their skills through practical activities and challenges.

Milestone Awards for Otters

Otters celebrate their progress by earning milestone awards as they complete badge subjects and develop new skills.

Each young person progresses through four stages during their time in Otters:

  • Stage 1 – 3 badge subjects

  • Stage 2 – 6 badge subjects

  • Stage 3 – 9 badge subjects

  • Stage 4 – 12 badge subjects

Members typically complete 2–3 badge subjects per year, allowing them to build skills gradually and complete the full Otters journey over time.
